World of Tanks Xbox

Managed to get into the beta and I have to admit, I'm impressed.

The game converts from the keyboard/mouse combo over to a controller pad without any problem.

Being a beta there isn't as much to do as in the PC version, only about 3 maps and 2 countries worth of tanks to choose from, also the research isn't as in-depth, you research a package instead of individual components, there's also no crews for the tanks (although I never really figured out how they worked on the PC version)

The was lag on one night of playing the game which resulted in my tank doing what it was told about 3-4 seconds after I made the input on the pad, but one fo the devs was on and stated that they had an "unexpectedly high number of beta players online, but it was helping them stress-test".

So far I've reached a Tier 3 american medium tank and whilst I'm far from the best of players I have managed to do a bit of damage and even destroy a few other tanks (although I usually end up getting destroyed myself).

No idea when it's coming out of beta, but it's been a good job so far.
