Twilight Struggle

Back when dinosaurs ruled the earth I remember playing a computer game called 'Balance of Power' (it might have been PC, but I might have been Amiga). Anyway, I have recently got the urge to indulge in some board gaming, and after some research and scouring of the Internet I took the plunge and purchased Twilight Struggle. FeMme and I are going to bust its cherry on Monday.

Does anyone have any experience playing Twilight Struggle? Any advice for two noobs? Any opening strategies? Any key cards, or key card combos? Anything at all?
