The Adventures of Keroxis Balmu’und, Vampire Hunter of Morrowind

Introduction

Yes, Morrowind. :D

Keroxis Balmu’und is a character I’ve been thinking about playing and writing about for a while now. I had originally intended to play him in Skyrim. I played a lot of Skyrim last year, eventually finishing the main quest and all of the guild quests with various characters, before going on what has become a permanent hiatus to date. When I first heard about the Dawnguard expansion I started designing this character in my head; one who would spend a lot of time in the Falkreath area to start the game before heading out to hunt vampires and other undead as part of the Dawnguard faction.

I played Skyrim originally on the PS3, which made it difficult to pick up expansions. When Dawnguard came out Steam had the main game for 50% off so I picked it up along with the expansion with the idea of playing all the new content from the expansion as well as player-generated mods that looked fun. Unfortunately my computer is not powerful enough to truly run Skyrim well, so I ended up deciding not to play it until I purchased a new computer.

Enter Morrowind.

I started worshipping at the altar of Bethesda with Oblivion and Fallout 3. I’d heard of Morrowind, and how good it was supposed to be, before trying Oblivion, but I had never played it. I picked up the game of the year edition on Steam very cheaply a while back and recently started feeling the bite of wanting to play around in the worlds of Bethesda again. While I could have picked up all of the expansions for Skyrim for the PS3 now I didn’t want to put any more money into it after purchasing the game and expansions for the computer.
So I’ve adapted my ideas for Keroxis to the game of Morrowind and intend to write about his adventures. I don’t really know much about Morrowind (especially compared to Skyrim), so I don’t fully know where this character will go beyond my character growth ideas, but it should be fun.

I also don’t have nearly as much time to play this game as I did Skyrim back when I was unemployed and able to play several hours a day. So the updates might not be quick. But hopefully anyone who reads this thread will enjoy it and keep following along. And maybe have some fun and want to play Morrowind along with me again. :)
