Take Me Out to the OOTP15 Baseball Game: Caribbean Sea League

OOTP15

I have set up my new Caribbean Sea League in two sections, each with three divisions. The Antilles Section has the Puerto Rico Division (with 6 teams: one from each of four Puerto Rican cities, one from St. Martin, and one from the Virgin Islands [my team, the Virgin Island Viceroys]), the Hispaniola Division (with 6 teams, three each from cities in Haiti and in the Dominican Republic) and the Cuba Division (with 5 teams from Cuban cities). The Spanish Main Section has the Central America Division (with 6 teams, one from each Central American country), the South America Division (with 6 teams, three from Columbia and three from Venezuela), and the Island Division (with 5 teams, two from Jamaican cities, and one each from the countries of Curacao, the Netherland Antilles, and Aruba)—34 teams total.

My new team is different from my past teams. In the past, I’ve emphasized defense (esp. at shortstop, 2nd base, 1st base, plus a good catcher’s arm), solid pitching, and low salaries. This year the emphasis is on offense. My Virgin Island Viceroys have a lot of power, solid hitting, and the highest salaries in the majors.

Below are my players. All numerical ratings are on a scale of 1-20; 1 is bad; 20 is good. [I’ve been uncomfortable with the accuracy of scouting reports in the past, and so this year I raised scouting accuracy from “normal” to “good.” (Above that are “very good” & “100%”).] As a practical matter, 11-12 seems to be about the normal range.
