Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP) is one of the best (if not the best) baseball strategy games out there. You play as the general manager of a team. You can play any current (U.S.) team, any historical team, or, as what I'm doing, create your own league.
I've created the Caribbean League. We have two sub-leagues: North and South, each with three divisions, each division five teams. Each of the 30 major league teams has three minor league teams: AAA, AA & A.
The northern league has the Gulf Div. with a team from each of the U.S.'s five gulf states; it has the Mexican Division, with teams from five cities in eastern Mexico, and it has the Atlantic Div., with teams from the US state of Georgia, from the Virgin Islands, from Sant Martin, from the Netherlands Antilles, and from Brazil.
The southern league [containing the team I'll be managing, the Puerto Rico Rum Runners] has the Antilles Division, with Puerto Rico :chili:, with Jamaica, with Haiti, with Cuba and with the Dominican Republic. The Central American Division has El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, and Costa Rica. The South American Division has Panama, Columbia, Venezuela, Aruba and Curacao.
Because it's a new league, we must begin with a player draft...
[I've set the local-player level to 70, i.e. as many as 30% of the players may come from outside the region, e.g. Japan, Korea, Canada.]
